SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE BRIEF

Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee - some believe it is the best coffee in the world.  We believe it deserves special handling and care. We are listing this coffee as a SAP (Special Access Program)  and are limiting distribution.  Why? This coffee demands a balance between luxury and authenticity.


From the tranquil Trumpet Tree Coffee farm more than 4000 feet above sea level deep in the Jamaica Blue Mountains, Arthur McGowan ensures that the best quality coffee is brought to harvest. Each batch of coffee reaped from the farm is pulped, hand-washed, and then placed on a barbecue screen to air dry. Determination, ingenuity, and hard work are the epitome of Arthur’s character. And with more than 15-years of experience growing and manufacturing coffee in the Jamaica Blue Mountains, we consider him a fully vetted coffee asset.

Our Responsibility -

  1. Handle this coffee with care. We are taking a brilliant coffee bean and presenting it so that you can experience one of the worlds finest coffee.
  2. Small batch roasting.  We roast your order and prepare it for your use.  By roasting smaller batches, we ensure proper care in bringing the flavor intended by the grower.
  3. Tasting. Yes, we also have the responsibility to taste this coffee... it is a tough job, but we make these sacrifices for you, our coffee family.


FLAVOR PROFILE

Best at a medium to dark roast, a wonderfully complex cup of coffee with lower acidity and soft edges: chocolate/nutty/caramel darker tones. Lighter side of medium roasts accentuate the nutty, floral, sweeter tones and show a hint of lemony brightness, but too light can come off a bit woody tasting. Medium you start getting more nutty/caramel like tones with hint of cocoa. Darker gets pretty chocolaty but remain complex and a bit fuller bodied.
